I have worked with short, medium and long-term clients. I have worked for a Wirral based Charity for the past year and currently work in a local Women’s Centre.

How can I help you?

We can all struggle at stressful times in our lives. It takes courage and insight to acknowledge that we need support. I can help you by providing a warm, empathic, welcoming and confidential service where you will be accepted, listened to and heard, without judgement. We can work through your problems at your own pace, and I will be there to support you at every step. We can work together to build a strong therapeutic relationship, as this is proven to be the most important catalyst for positive change.

This is my third career, so I have a wealth of other experience in the workplace including as a Manager in a large, Charitable, Social Housing Organisation. I hold Post Graduate Housing Qualifications. I am therefore acutely aware and understand the impact of personal, domestic, and work stress on life, health and relationships. I can offer empathy and help with your problems leading to greater understanding, allowing you to make positive changes in your life and build resilience.

I am also a very experienced Primary Teacher, who specialised in both Literacy and the delivery of Social and Emotional Wellbeing across the age range. I am therefore able to offer Play based Therapy for children (3-11yrs) who are experiencing difficulties. I will work sensitively, and at your child’s pace, supporting them to explore their problems through play, creativity and language development.

Alternatively, I can offer valuable support and understanding to parents and carers experiencing concerns about their children, whether those may be worries about developmental and learning difficulties, ADHD, Asperger’s, Autism or social problems. I can also help with low self-esteem or mental health concerns.

When our children face problems, it can feel overwhelming and isolating to us as parents. It is important to get help and support for you as a parent if you are struggling. Counselling will support and help protect your wellbeing and ultimately that of your family too.
